My Journey on Migraine

Hi, I’m Anita from Chennai.

I wanted to share my migraine story here because I know how hard it is. Maybe someone else reading this will feel less alone.

I’ve had migraines for many years. At first, it came once in a while. But slowly, it started coming more often. Some weeks, I had pain every day.

I was also gaining weight. I went from 54 kg to 69 kg, and I felt tired all the time. The medicines helped a little, but they also made me sleepy and dull.


How I Started Healing

One day, I told myself — I can’t live like this anymore.

I started reading about natural ways to help migraine. I slowly changed my daily routine. Some things that really helped me:

  • Drinking warm water with herbs

  • Doing light yoga and breathing in the morning

  • Sleeping early and eating on time

  • Doing head and body oil massage once a week

  • Saying no to trigger foods like chocolate and too much coffee

  • Using my phone less, especially at night

I also learned that hormones affect my migraine, so I take more rest before my period and avoid stress that week.


Now I Feel Better

Now I still get small headaches sometimes, but the big attacks are rare. I haven’t gone to the hospital in over 6 months. That’s a big win for me.
